Has your camper always wanted to spend more time on the TEAM Challenge Ropes Course?
This summer TEAM Challenge's teambuilding and leadership development staff will be offering three different opportunities for campers to work in small groups to explore themselves as leaders and develop outdoor skills they can use for future outdoor adventures. Each program is structured to ensure that all campers will have ample opportunity to explore different leadership styles and practice hands-on skills in a safe, supportive environment.
- Ropes Course Challenge Camp
- Spend the week challenging yourself and supporting your teammates as TEAM Challenge facilitators provide your group increasingly more difficult initiatives (problem-solving activities) to solve together, the opportunity to climb all our ropes course elements, and the option to learn how to belay.
Available sessions 2 and 5.
Fee $185 per session.- Adventure Skills Camp
- Spend the week learning the core skills for safely and enjoyably taking outdoor camping adventures, spend a night camped in the woods here at the Nature Center, and travel across one of our gorges on a Tyrolean traverse that your group sets up. Instructors wil teach a wide range of skills, including basic first aid and safe camping practices; campsite selection and set-up--tents, tarps, and emergency bivuacs; fire-building; camp stove cooking; map and compass navigation; and, of course, how to safely construct a Tyrolean traverse.
Available sessions 3 and 6.
Fee $185 per session.- Finger Lakes Trail Hiking Trip
- After spending a day on the ropes course getting to know your tripmates, you'll join them the next day to pack up your gear and be driven to the trailoead for four days of hiking and three nights of camping on the Finger Lakes Trail. Campers will need to provide their own personal camping equipment (backpack, sleeping bag, water bottles, etc.).
Available sessions 4 and 7.
Fee $265 per session.

The goal of the Counselor-in-Training Program is to teach teenagers how to work with counselors and staff while providing fun and educational programs for campers. The Bobcats will shadow one counselor each week, assisting in set up and cleanup of all activities, preparing snacks, and assisting in the daily lessons. Bobcats will be asked to research new lesson ideas, design new educational games, create and perform skits, and generate new songs and crafts. This program runs in conjunction with all Nature Day Camp and Critter Camp sessions. Interested youths should mail in their resume (schooling, clubs/organization membership, volunteer/job information, relevant skills, reference contacts) and schedule an interview with the Camp Director.
(Youth entering 1st- 8thgrades) Your child can join us at this popular one-of-a-kind camp where they will experience the natural world through hands-on activities. These one week sessions will take place at our main lodge, with our 5 miles of trails, butterfly house, treetops tower, fields and gorges providing the backdrop for this memorable summer of adventures. Our naturalist counselors will lead activities such as nature walks, stream study, animal exploration, crafts & cooperative games.
A variety of activities and projects will be offered during Nature Day Camp. A different theme will be offered on each day of camp, but the themes are secrets so you will just have to wait and see! Themes focus on the human senses, enviornmental topics, critters, natural wonders, and more!!!
