Rentals

Cayuga Nature Center is available for rent for a variety of private functions. We like to think of our lodge and nature center as a user-friendly place. Our historic lodge, built in the 1930s, is surrounded by 120 acres of woods, trails, gorges, and waterfalls. It has been rented for weddings, conferences, meetings, family gatherings, holiday parties, birthday parties, and much more.

Since we are a member-based organization, please be aware that even if the facility has been rented, our public attractions (such as our trails, animals, and tree-house, etc.) are still available to the public from dawn to dusk every day.

Weddings

Weddings at the nature center can be an amazing experience. Through our years we have hosted many of these special events and each has been unique in its own way. We can help you build your event almost any way you like to make your vision become a reality. We have also worked with many caterers and rental organization in the area, and can help you connect with other great people in the community to make your event memorable.

Prices vary due to the length of time, number of rooms requested, etc.

Birthday Parties

We offer a three-hour room rental, which includes an educational program lasting up to one hour. Children enjoy everything from our animals, Pee-Wee playroom, trails, and six-story treehouse. Participants, including parents, do not need to pay an additional admission fee. (CNC does not supply decorations, food, etc.)

Apple Cider Press Rentals

  • Onsite Apple Cider Press $20 (10am-4pm)
  • Offsite Apple Cider Press $30 per day (requires credit card - if cider press is not returned in proper condition, an additional $600 will be charged)

We have older snow shoes available for visitors to use, as well as sleds for sledding on our front hill. These do not need to be rented out, but are only available during normal business hours as they are located within the lodge.

Deposits

A deposit of $100 may be required for booking larger events. A refundable cleaning deposit may also be required. Renters are expected to return the facility to its normal condition.

Where to start

Send us an email outlining your basic plan. Include potential date(s), hours of event, space required, number of people attending, etc. We will work with you! We encourage you to come view our grounds prior to organizing your event. This gives us an opportunity to meet with you and answer any questions you may have.
