Cayuga
Nature Center has been working with local businesses, state government,
and the community to divert recyclable organic material from the
waste stream since 1997. By collecting and processing community
generated organic material, Cayuga Nature Center is able to make
high quality finished compost products which are then returned
to use in the community.

Our goal is to help facilitate harmony within our community by providing
local business operators with environmentally responsible and beneficial
options. We embrace the belief that both the business community and
the environment can benefit from this broad based partnership

Partners
Cayuga
Nature Center and its partners in the compost project value the opportunity
to capture and utilize nutrients that would otherwise be an unnecessary
component in our community waste stream. By working with local grocery
stores, restaurants, and farms we are providing environmentally responsible
and economical alternatives to business owners and or operators, with
organic material in their waste stream. We are proud of the work our
partnership has accomplished, and welcome the opportunity to share our
experiences with your business, leadership team, or classroom. This
growing project is always looking for more partners and welcomes inquiries.
Contact the Compost staff and join us and your neighbors listed below
working toward environmentally responsible business practices.
